"Own a Piece of Alabama History"
Traditional Handmade Brooms
Special Orders Always Welcome!
My workshop before a festival!
I set this site up to be more of an online brochure/catalog of the brooms that I make. With the uniqueness of each broom, it is very difficult to have a virtual gallery/shopping cart to buy the broom that you see in the different photos. I will try to make a broom extremely similar to the broom that you want. Most times, the broom will even be more unique than the ones pictured.
On brooms that ask for a 'String Color', I normally tie using black string, but I have access to many different colors. The string I use is a poly Macramé cord. Certain string colors might cause a slight delay in shipping, but no more than a week.
On brooms that mention "Broomcorn Color", I try to keep Red, Black, Green, Orange, Blue, and Brown in stock. I can blend these different colors together to make a multi-colored broom. Please not, I mix Natural colored broomcorn in the multi-colored brooms. Helps add contrast and separates the colors. Multi-colored brooms are stitches using natural Hemp twine.
Write the ITEM # and any specifics (broomcorn color/string color), and if you have any particulars about the handle down while you shop. Send this in a message on the Contact Page. Doing things old school, but I want you to get the broom you envision.
Please note that the order volume after the Southern Living article has dramatically increased. I am working through orders as fast as I can and will contact you as soon as possible about your order.
